In Canada you have the right to keep your phone number when you switch providers. Once the port is submitted, it typically completes in about 5 business days (roughly a week) as long as the losing carrier doesn't reject the request. If any detail is rejected, the clock restarts and runs again from the corrected, confirmed request — so getting the details above right up front is what keeps a port on schedule. Voiswitch confirms the date with you before anything changes.
